How do you recommend surviving Opening Days? Not that I think of it as a huge ordeal or anything, I'm very excited, but my parents are coming for the week and I was wondering how to balance on-campus stuff with back-to-school shopping (dorm stuff, school supplies) and exploring the city. Other than the required programs on the schedule, which events are okay to skip, which are useful, etc.

Also, what are your thoughts on Freshman Seminars and the application process?

Thanks!
